NEW YORK, April 4, 2007 – The club racer-inspired 2008 Honda S2000 CR Prototype making its world debut at the New York International Auto Show introduces a higher level of track-worthy performance and style to the S2000 roadster, American Honda Motor Co., Inc., announced today.
The S2000 CR will be available as an entirely new S2000 trim level when it goes on sale in the fall of 2007. The lighter, stiffer and more aggressive overall design is engineered to maximize the S2000’s potential on a racetrack with the goal of substantially-improving track times, chassis balance and feel. The factory-tuned roadster provides highly-aggressive suspension settings, increased body and chassis rigidity, overall weight reduction and an aerodynamic body kit dialed-in for reduced lift. An aluminum hardtop replaces the convertible soft top as standard equipment.










Honda S2000 CR 2008

Honda S2000 2008

(from Honda Press Release) The manufacturer's suggested retail price (MSRP) for the 2008 Honda S2000 starts at $34,300, plus destination and handling charges, when the vehicle goes on sale today, announced American Honda Motor Co., Inc. The 2008 S2000 MSRP reflects a $50 increase compared to 2007 prices.

The MSRP* for the newly-introduced S2000 CR starts at $36,300, plus destination and handling charges. The S2000 CR enhances the S2000 with more track-oriented suspension settings, aerodynamic-enhancing bodywork, a removable aluminum hardtop that replaces the convertible soft top, higher rigidity and reduced weight. The S2000 CR equipped with air conditioning and an AM/FM/CD audio system is available for the MSRP* of $37,300, plus destination and handling charges.










Honda Hot Wheels Racer 2008

(from Honda Press Release) Honda is announcing the arrival of the Honda Racer™, a much-anticipated 1/64th scale Hot Wheels® car designed by Honda R&D Americas, Inc., in Torrance. The Honda model, along with designs from five additional automakers, were selected as part of the Hot WheelsDesigner's Challenge™ as a way to celebrate the die-cast brand's 40th anniversary. The Honda Racer arrives on store shelves in May 2008.

Honda FC Sport Design Study 2008

(from Honda press release) Honda today revealed the Honda FC Sport design study model, a hydrogen-powered, three-seat sports car concept, at the 2008 Los Angeles Auto Show.

The FC Sport emphasizes the design flexibility and potential of Honda's V Flow fuel cell technology - already deployed in the Honda FCX Clarity sedan - and reconfigures it into a lightweight sports car design with an ultra-low center of gravity, powerful electric motor performance and zero-emissions. The design study concept is inspired by supercar levels of performance through low weight and a high-performance, electrically driven fuel cell powertrain.










Honda Civic Type R 2007

A six-sided grille and projector headlamps that recess deep into the front fenders contribute to an unmistakable and aggressive front fascia.
